The Volt Voice

Here are the guidelines:

• You must be available for EVERY performance week.

• The schedule is as follows:

• • Elimination Round 1 @ Hillside Karaoke in Sylacuaga – May 15^th and May 16^th

  • Elimination Round 2 @ Fermenters at The Rex in Sylacauga – May 29^th and May 30th

  • Elimination Round 3 @ Good Time Charlie’s in Lincoln – June 5^th and June 6th

  • Semifinals @ Bandits Bar & Grill in Sylacauga – June 12^th and June 13th

  • FINALS @ Bandits Bar & Grill in Sylacauga – Saturday June 27^th

• Participants must be 16 years or older to compete.

• The age to enter the Main Events is at the sole discretion of the venues. Some allow all ages, some are 19 and up, and some are 21 and up.

• We will assign nights for each of you to perform, either Friday or Saturday. We will do our best to accommodate you if you have a specific night you prefer but we cannot guarantee it.  This will be the same for each round.

• Each contestant will be allowed to admit one guest who is age 21 or older for free but cover charges apply for others. Contestants that are eliminated will be allowed free admission, but any other guests will have to pay cover…this is only if cover applies.

• All performers are expected to act in a professional manner throughout the competition. Any poor conduct or behavior that is disrespectful to the contest, the venue, sponsors or other performers will lead to immediate disqualification at the discretion of LBI Media, Inc.

Format:

• Rounds 1& 2 — Every contestant will be able to choose any song they would like to sing. No repeats and songs are first come, first serve.

• Round 3 –Usually song of choice AND a selected song from a category list. Subject to change.

• Semi Finals & Finals – TBA

• LBI Media Inc. has the right to refuse or not accept any song choice that it deems vulgar, offensive or inappropriate.

Judging Criteria:

• There will be 2 judges at each Main Event. The 3^rd score will be determined by voting by attendees on-site. Voting will start at 8pm each event night and allowed through 5pm Sunday. All contestants who advance will be notified by 3pm on Monday following the Friday and Saturday performances with the exception of the Finals.
